Millennials may be killing marriage and manners, but they’re saving public libraries

Millennials may be killing marriage and manners, but they’re saving public libraries:

Yo, high five, fellow Millennials! We’re getting the important stuff right! ;D

It’s so refreshing to see an article about something we’re saving for once. I’ve seen articles complaining that we’re “killing” golf, malls, soap, napkins, the list is downright ridiculous.

My guess is that because we Millennials be extra poor compared to the previous generations, we take more advantage of the free (temporary) swag we can get at a public library. Which makes sense – the poor are the ones who benefit the most from public libraries, after all, as libraries give them access to things they couldn’t afford.

It’s the same as why the return on investment at small town libraries can be of over $10 brought into the community for every dollar invested in the library.
